Starting with literally- Start in your room, those random items we collect in our pockets, gym bag, trunk, briefcase.
All those needless things we keep around but deep inside we know we will never use them. GET RID OF THEM. They are just taking valuable space that could be used for more useful things.
Then think of it in a greater scheme. Trash can come in so many forms; tangible objects, feelings, people, relationships, jobs.
GET RID OF THE TRASH.
It hurts to do but there are people in our lives that are not contributing to anything positive and are impeding our growth. Throw it away.
Those negative feelings that come to mind are nothing but a temporary state of emotion that YOU CAN control. Throw them away.
